OCL Environmental Commitment

Environmental Policy Statement:

Oldham Community Leisure Limited (OCL) is a provider of health, wellbeing and leisure services, initially formed in 2002 as a community benefit society that is not for profit, with all revenues generated by the organisation re-invested back into the provision of health, well-being and leisure services for the community of Oldham.

We recognise that our organisational activities, the services we deliver and the facilities within which we operate, have a significant impact upon the environment and we are committed to a process of continual improvement, embedded within our integrated Quality Management systems to create environmental improvement through defined objectives and targets.

Commitment

As part of our commitment to the environment, OCL pledges to:

  • Identify and comply with all relevant environmental legislation.

  • Implement responsible operational management through the sustainable practice of continuous improvement throughout all of our premises

  • Promote the efficient use of resources, measurement and controls to both reduce energy consumption and prevent pollution

  • Design in to our facilities, energy saving tools and techniques, in particular  for all new build and refurbishment projects

OCL aims to promote the efficient use of resources and maintenance of a comfortable, healthy environment for staff, customers and visitors through a commitment to the development of a positive environmental culture within all offices, facilities and departments operated under our management.

Each facility displays this environmental policy as a sign of our commitment to our customers and our staff and all staff will be made aware of their responsibilities.
