Jamie Kelly (22) competed at the swimmers with learning difficulties National swimming Championships over the weekend of the 12th and 13th of May at Ponds Forge International pool in Sheffield. Jamie won gold in the 200m freestyle and 200m breaststroke, silver in the 200m individual medley and silver in the 400m freestyle. Jamie lives in Rochdale and trains with Oldham Aquatics Swim Team.
Oldham Aquatics Head Coach says” Jamie is a fantastic example of what people can achieve when given support and opportunities. Jamie trains very hard and once again all the 5am starts have paid off. Jamie has recently passed his UKcc level 1 aquatics teachers course and is already passing on his skills and experience to the swimmers at Rochdale swimming Club.”
