The facility was originally opened in 2004 and funded by the Local Education Authority to provide a wide range of quality leisure opportunities for students and the local community. The on site 5-a-side/ 4 Badminton sports hall, Grade 1 outdoor athletics track and field facilities have since benefited from the addition of a new high quality 6 lane indoor athletics hall with designated areas for indoor throws, high jump, long jump and pole-vault areas. All this as well as the dedicated reception area make The Radclyffe Athletic Centre an excellent facility for all your sporting needs. The full project was completed and officially opened in 2007 and is now home to several local clubs including The Oldham and Royton Harriers Athletics club and Oldham Table-Tennis club.
